TL;DR: We’re introducing credit-based pricing designed for AI development workflows. If you’re an existing customer, you can continue on your current plan with no forced changes. A new Personal plan starts at $9/month.

First, what’s changing (and what’s not)

We know pricing updates can be frustrating. We’ve all been there. We hope this update is different. Our intent is to provide pricing plans that are simple, transparent, scales fairly and predictably.

For existing customers:

• Stay on your current legacy plan and price with no forced changes.
• Optionally switch to the new credit-based plans in the coming weeks (we’ll notify you when available).
• In the meantime, use our pricing calculator to compare and see if it’s right for you.

What’s new:

• Credit-based plans. Every plan includes a monthly allotment of credits. One system covers all usage, so you can track a primary metric.

• 5 clear categories. Credits apply to production deploys, compute, forms, bandwidth, and web requests – no need to juggle dozens of separate metrics or hidden inputs.

• New plan for individuals. Personal plan: $9/month with 1,000 credits – designed for solo builders.

• Updated Pro plan. Pro plan: $20/month with 5,000 credits (was $19/month) – made for teams.

Why this helps

AI development has doubled our community in just one year, surpassing 8 million developers. The reality is, our old pricing (like everyone else’s) assumed methodical, human-paced development.

But that’s just not the reality anymore:

• AI can generate dozens of variations
• Developers iterate at machine speed
• Resource usage swings wildly
• Everyone can be a developer

When anyone can prompt Claude to build an app in minutes, they shouldn’t need a spreadsheet to understand infrastructure costs. When you’re testing AI-generated code, you shouldn’t pay for every experiment.

These new types of developers deserve pricing as straightforward as the tools they use to build. And experienced developers shouldn’t have to track dozens of metrics either.

Credits help solve this. Providing one primary metric to track while having unlimited experimentation for free and predictable production costs.
